Timothy Walker is an actor and writer from the small, coastal town of Portland, Australia. Prior to pursuing a career as a writer, Tim obtained his private pilots license and was accepted into the Royal Australian Air Force as a fighter pilot. But in a move that turned his father’s hair grey, he chose instead to pretend to be a marine on the HBO series THE PACIFIC produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg where he fell in love...with filmmaking.

Tim is a co-creator and co-writer of the Stan original film A SUNBURNT CHRISTMAS for which he was nominated for the 2021 AWGIE Award for Best Television Screenplay (Telemovie or Miniseries) and nominated for the 2021 AACTA Award for Best Miniseries and Telefeature.

His second feature film CHRISTMAS RANSOM was released on Stan in 2022 for which he also received an AWGIE nomination (Best Comedy). He has since been commissioned to write a third feature film for Village Roadshow.

Prior to writing Tim studied filmmaking at Swinburne University and in 2020 his short film KIN was an official selection at a number of international film festivals and won Best Director at the Far South Film Festival.

Tim is also an actor, graduating from NIDA in 2018 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) where he was the recipient of the Hazel Treweek Shakespeare, Keith Bain Movement and Leslie Walford Promising New Talent awards. His most recent credits include THE GREAT: SEASON TWO by Oscar nominated writer Tony McNamara, and on stage in the Australian National Tour of THE MOUSETRAP directed by Robyn Nevin.
